Dinah Shelly  -  Dinah has been serving the AHUMC community as a pastor for the last 17 years.  She is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and a graduate of Texas A&M University and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  Dinah is trained in Family Systems Theory and serves as the San Antonio area coordinator for FaithWalking.  Dinah is married to Keith and is the proud mother of Claire, Alice, and Daniel.

Ryan Jacobson - Ryan joined the staff in 2010 after spending two years of volunteer service with the Riverside Community.  He is a graduate of Texas State University and a current seminarian at Fuller Seminary.  He has a very deep passion for the historical and cultural context of the Bible and seeks to re-awaken the Biblical standard of serving others.  Ryan is married to Kylea and they are expecting their first child--a boy--early next year.


A.J. Navarro - Although A.J. is recognized as the drummer with the New Heights worship team, he has been serving in musical direction for our community for the last 12 years.  A.J. is a professional drummer and percussionist who feels called to bring excellence to music and the arts in and around the community.  He and his wife Kristin have two sons--Aaron and Nicholas.


Darrell Smith - Darrell has been around New Heights since the beginning and began leading worship for us in 2000.  He is a graduate of Texas A&M with a master's degree in Christian Ministry from Wayland Baptist University and a doctorate of worship studies from the Webber Institute for Worship Studies.  Darrell and his wife Stacy are also graduates of the Bethel School of Supernatural Worship and serve as directors of Chapter Three Ministries.  They have three children--Nate, Sammy & Abby.
